In celebration of Gandhi Jayanthi, Zilla Parishad Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Shore Point, organized a successful cleanliness drive on 1st October 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, teaching and non-teaching staff, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) members, and School Management Committee (SMC) members. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness and hygiene within the school and surrounding community, honoring Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of service and cleanliness.

Student Participation:

Balvatika 1 to Class 4:
The youngest students, from Balvatika 1 to Class 4, actively cleaned the school campus. Equipped with brooms and other cleaning materials, they worked diligently to create a cleaner and healthier environment, showcasing responsibility and dedication.

Class 5 and Class 6:
Students from Class 5 and Class 6 extended the drive beyond the school, cleaning the Community Hall and the Anganwadi area. Divided into groups, they, along with staff, PTA, and SMC members, made a significant impact on the cleanliness of these vital community spaces. Their efforts were appreciated by the local community and fostered a sense of civic responsibility.

Total Participation:

The drive involved 290 students, supported by 14 teaching staff, 4 non-teaching staff, and 5 PTA and SMC members. The active participation of the PTA and SMC reinforced the bond between the school and the community, contributing to the event’s success.

This cleanliness drive not only improved the school and its surroundings but also instilled values of teamwork, responsibility, and community service among the students.
